Welcome to Shinkai Kensha, we are a small Kai Ken hobby breeder located in Southern California.

Our focuses are breed preservation, health, temperament, and working aptitude. We follow the Kai Ken Aigokai (KKA) breed standard and also enter AKC, NIPPO/USA, and UKC conformation events and sports. All of our breeding dogs are thoroughly health tested with results publicly recorded. Our breeding dogs are expected to be family first, of sound temperament, and good with people, including strangers, children, and vets. Our goal is to create puppies that are improvements upon our own dogs.

We are a registered KKA kennel in Japan, and plan to register all puppies with AKC, UKC, and eligible puppies with KKA.
